DA 96-1937 November 20, 1996 New Promissory Note and Security Agreement Issued for C Block Auction Winners Deadline for Return of Documents- December 2, 1996 On September 17, 1996, the Wireless Telecommunications Bureau ("Bureau") conditionally granted certain broadband Personal Communications Services ("PCS") C block licensees. In a letter dated October 2, 1996, accompanying the installment payment plan note and security agreement for the PCS C block licenses, licensees were informed that the note and security agreement should be executed and returned to the Treasury Department within 30 days. In a subsequent mailing, dated October 24, 1996, licensees were instructed that the note and security agreement should be returned to the Treasury Department on or before November 20, 1996. In a letter dated November 14, 1996, the licensees were provided with a revised note and security agreement. This letter extended the date for return of the executed note and security agreement from November 20, 1996 to November 30, 1996. We recognize that the November 30, 1996 deadline falls on a Saturday. Thus, those licensees should execute and return the installment payment note and security agreement to the Treasury Department on or before December 2, 1996 (the following Monday). See 47 C.F.R.  1.4 In addition, applicants should contact FCC staff immediately if they have not yet received the revised note and security agreement, which were mailed on November 14, 1996.
